Volunteers are needed for Fort Atkinson’s Community Christmas Dinner this weekend, according to information released by the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, which organizes the event.
“We are in need of many more volunteers on Christmas Day for the
Community Christmas Dinner. We have a variety of jobs to fit your skills,” organizer Olive Gross was quoted as saying in the release.
Those who are able to help out by giving an hour or two of time are asked to call Don and Olive Gross at 920-563-4773.
The event offers a free, family-style turkey and ham dinner for anyone in the community who might be alone or who is unable to prepare a meal for the holiday, the release stated.
Reservations are required and can be made by calling the St. Joseph Catholic Church office: 920-563-3029.
A gathering with hors d’oeuvres and punch will begin at 11 a.m., and dinner will be served at noon.
Home deliveries are also available. To request delivery, call Tom: 920-988-1280.
Donations of homemade apple pies are also being sought for the dinner. Contact the church office for more details.
The dinner is sponsored by the Fort Atkinson Community Dinner Committee.
