Whitewater Unified School District officials have announced through Facebook that all school buildings will be closed Thursday.
According to the announcement, school is closed “due to predictions of rapidly dropping temperatures, snow and strong winds,” with a potential for producing blizzard conditions, that will make travel for the district’s students and staff “dangerous,” the post on Facebook noted.
Additionally, the post reported, all after-school activities are canceled on Thursday.
According to the district’s website, the district’s winter break is scheduled to begin Friday, Dec. 23, running through Monday Jan. 2.
