Spacesaver donates $5,000 to BASE

Spacesaver, a Fort Atkinson-based distributor of high-density shelving products, recently donated $5,000 to the Badgerland After School Enrichment Program (BASE) as part of its continued annual corporate sponsorship support, according to a recent press release from BASE.

BASE Executive Director Alicia Norris said the children’s enrichment program will use the sponsorship to support kids and families for its out-of-school time programs, including those offered after school and over the summer.

“We appreciate the continued support of Spacesaver so we can provide affordable out-of-school time support to kids and families in our community,” Norris was quoted as saying in the release.

Spacesaver has supported BASE for many years with corporate sponsorships, event sponsorships and providing volunteers for its board of directors, programs and special events, the release continued.

BASE is accepting new membership applications for after school and summer programs for kids who are 7 years old and attend one of the Fort Atkinson School District’s elementary schools. The organization operates after school programming in the district’s four public elementary schools from 3-6 p.m., and offers a full-day, 10-week summer program. BASE is also open on early-release days and select no-school days.

BASE relies on donations from the community to keep the program accessible to all youth. For more information about BASE or to donate, visit www.basefortatkinson.org. Follow BASE on Facebook and Instagram.
