The Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that Rhythm Remix, a citywide family-friendly end-of-summer block party, will be held Saturday, Aug. 27.
According to information released by the chamber, activities this, the program’s second year, will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
According to the release, for 18 years, the Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce organized Rhythm on the River, an end-of-summer block party that brought together 5,000 attendees to the Fort Atkinson downtown for an evening of musical entertainment.
In 2021, in response to COVID-19, the Fort Atkinson Chamber of Commerce and the Rhythm on the River committee created a daytime event called Rhythm Remix, replacing Rhythm on the River. The free, family-friendly event featured regional musical talent taking place at five different downtown venues throughout the day in smaller group settings to provide a safe and comfortable experience for all involved.
Due to its popularity and success, it is scheduled to return for its second year, the release stated.
