According to information released by the Lions Club, the group will be operating the grill at the Lorman Bicentennial Park, 210 South Water St., West, on the Rock River near the Robert Street bridge.

The concession stand will be open during the same time as the Rhythm Remix event.

The Jason Thomas Band will be playing near the concession stand at noon, according to the release.

About the Lions Club

According to the release,  the members of the Fort Atkinson Lions Club often donate their time to events like Rhythm Remix. Patrons at Rhythm Remix are invited to stop by the club’s concession stand to learn more about the club and its projects.

The civic organization is 92 years old. The Fort Atkinson chapter is the second oldest in Wisconsin, the release stated.

The club also sells concessions at Ralph Park, the release continued. Concessions at the park include an assortment of refreshments and food “offered three nights from May until July,” the release noted.

A new Lions Club sign has been installed on the park’s concession building to remind attendees of the club’s commitment to the community, according to the release.

Recently, the club sold concession at two events: the Junior Blackhawk Baseball Tournament, held in July, and an event hosted this month by the Fort Atkinson Senior Center. Both events took place in Ralph Park.

Proceeds from concessions sold at the events are used to support area projects and groups.

According to the release, last year, the Lions Club supported Big Brothers and Big Sisters, BOLD, BASE, Christmas Neighbors, Friends of the Library, Lady Blackhawks, Piecemakers Quilted Guild, the Rock River Community Clinic and the Summer Reading program. Funds also were distributed to statewide Lions projects such as Lions Camp and Leader Dog, a program that trains canines to assist the visually impaired.

The Fort Atkinson Lions Club will next meet in September. Those interested in learning more about the group, its projects, or becoming a member are encouraged to contact the club’s Membership Chair Kevin Becker at 920-650-8005 or visit the club’s website: www.eclubhouse.org/sites/fortatkinson.
