Chamber holds ribbon cutting at Fort Kwik Trip

The Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting event for Kwik Trip Inc. 

The event, held Wednesday, officially opened Store No. 1506, 1680 Janesville Ave, Fort Atkinson.

According to information released by the chamber, Kwik Trip is a family-owned retail convenience store founded in 1965. Kwik Trip currently has 812 stores and employs 35,000 co-workers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois. The south Fort Atkinson location has 14 full-time and 22 part-time employees.

“Kwik Trip stores offer literally everything from soups to nuts. In addition to fuel, grocery products and general merchandise, customers appreciate the freshest bakery goods, dairy products, salads, fruit, produce, sandwiches, pizzas, take home meals, fresh meat and chicken through daily deliveries from La Crosse, WI,” Steve Wrobel, public relations spokesperson with Kwik Trip, Inc., was quoted as saying in the release. 

Kwik Trip claims unique positioning as compared with other convenience store companies by expanding its offerings beyond fuel and tobacco products, the release stated, adding that the company sells 80% of its own branded products and serves 10 million people per week.

The Fort Atkinson store is open year-round, 24 hours per day, seven days a week, the release continued. For more information visit: kwiktrip.com.
