Crown of Life Christian Academy held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday at its new main campus building, 535 Berea Dr., according to information released by the Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce.
Along with the main campus, Crown of Life Christian Academy has two other locations, including its early childhood campus, 404 Roosevelt St. and toddler and two’s campus, 728 Charles St.
According to the release, planing and construction of the school’s main campus, which opened with the 2022-23 school year, took more than four years to complete.
The new school building can accommodate approximately 260 students, the release read, adding that an additional 245 students can be accommodated at Crown of Life’s other two campuses.
Enrollment for the 2022-23 school year across all three campuses is 237 students. The is a waiting pool, the release noted.
During the process, according to the release: “Crown of Life sought the advice of experienced mentors, built a sustainable educational model, and most importantly, leaned on God’s word to guide (it as it) researched, analyzed, and ultimately executed the plan to open the doors to students.”
The school offers pre-K through eighth-grade classes, along with “wrap-around” care and childcare for toddlers year-round, the release noted.
The school has more than 30 employees, both full- and part-time, and typically has as many as 20 volunteers available each week.
The school provides services which “prioritize faith, scripture, and excellence” while emphasizing its “core values of trust, humility, teamwork, and optimism,” according to the release.
