The Fort Atkinson Club, in partnership with Fort HealthCare, will be hosting a wellness day, according to information released by the club.
The event will feature some 12 “experts,” the release stated, who will provide information about nutrition and fitness, healthy cooking, CPR/AED, fall prevention, community health, preventative screenings, and financial and environmental health, among other topics.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., at the Fort Atkinson Club community center, 211 S. Water St., E., Fort Atkinson.
In addition, those arriving at the event will find a variety of presentations, chair massage sessions, and healthy snacks.
This is the first year that the Fort Atkinson Club and Fort HealthCare will jointly be hosting this event.
Activities associated with the wellness event will be held on all three levels of the club’s community center.
Visitors with mobility issues are encouraged to use the building’s side entrance and elevator.
“This is going to be a wonderful, fun event and we are thrilled to serve as a venue for many presentations, workshops and informational opportunities that focus on the health and wellness of our community. There will definitely be something for everyone, from healthy cooking to Zumba demos, wellness screenings and opportunities to connect with those who are anxious to share their knowledge and passion for healthy living,” Fort Atkinson Club Executive Director Lawan Glasscock was quoted as saying in the release.
