T-Mobile joins Fort chamber

The Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that T-Mobile has joined as a new member.

In addition, the company has announced the opening of its newest retail location in Wisconsin: 825 Lexington Blvd., Ste., 4, Fort Atkinson.

The location opened in December, according to information recently released by the chamber.

According to the release, area wireless customers visiting the Fort Atkinson location will find a variety of service plans, smartphones, tablets, and accessories available for purchase.

T-Mobile, the release notes, provides customers across 98% of America — including 50 states — with high-speed 5G technology.

“T-Mobile is delivering the country’s largest, fastest and most awarded 5G network,” the release states.

The T-Mobile store in Fort Atkinson is open between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, and between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The Fort Atkinson expansion is part of the company’s efforts to increase it’s retail footprint by bringing new stores to small towns and rural communities across the country, the release noted.

According to the release, as part of T-Mobile’s commitment to help small towns and rural communities thrive, the company has launched a T-Mobile Hometown Grants program. Begun in 2021, the program offers a $25 million, five-year initiative that provides grants to 100 small towns each year to use towards city beautification projects and public improvements, among other concepts. To date, the release noted, the program has provided approximately $300,000 in funding across seven cities in Wisconsin, including Kimberly, New Richmond, Rice Falls, Rice Lake, Waupaca, Wausaukee and West Bend.

“T-Mobile retail stores offer customers the ease of connecting in-person with our team of experts for personalized solutions and the convenience of exploring hands-on with our products and services. That’s why we continue to expand our retail footprint in both new and existing markets across the U.S. Our retail, care and network teams are excited and ready to serve the great people of Jefferson County,” Jon Freier, president of T-Mobile’s Consumer Group, was quoted as saying in the release.
