The Whitewater Arts Alliance’s summer concert series titled: “Savory Sounds” completes tomorrow and will feature music performed by “Ken Killian Combo,” according to information released by the alliance.
The performance will be held outside of the Whitewater Cultural Arts Center, 402 W. Main St., Whitewater.
The band will play between 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
The band plays Dixieland, soft rock and jazz music, according to the alliance website.
Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating.
In case of rain, the concert will be broadcast on Whitewater’s local access channel 990, the alliance’s website states.
Concerts are free and open to the public.
Concert-goers may bring their own lunch or purchase lunch from a participating vender while enjoying the music, the website notes.
The participating vender during Thursday’s concert will be The Black Sheep.
Last Thursday, concert-goers were presented with family-friendly music played by Ken Lonnquist and Friends.
During last Thursday’s concert, Lonnquist told Fort Atkinson Online that this year is his second performing as a participant in the Savory Sounds series. He also has performed within Whitewater schools, he said.
Taking stock of the 2022 Savory Sounds summer concert series, chairperson and member of the Whitewater Arts Alliance Board of Directors Christine Hayes said Thursday: “The Savory Sounds concerts this summer have touched our hearts as a source of joy and gathering in our community, bringing back to Whitewater live music for all ages.”
