The 10th Annual K-9 Veterans Day statewide observance was held Sunday at the American Legion Banquet Center, Fort Atkinson.
While the observance was held Sunday, March 10, the Wisconsin Legislature, in 2015, proclaimed March 13 as the statewide day of recognition.
The Sunday afternoon program began with a wreath-laying ceremony held at the War Dogs Memorial in Fort Atkinson’s McCoy Park, and continued at the banquet center where some 80 people were in attendance.
