Roger Duane Dillin

Roger Duane Dillin, born on September 3, 1933, in Rockford, Il., peacefully passed away on March 7, 2024, in Johnson Creek, WI at the age of 90. He married Mary Baltz on October 24, 1953.

He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War.

Roger worked as a machinist at James MFG Company in Fort Atkinson, and Economy Bushing Co. in Milwaukee, WI. Later, he pursued a career in Real Estate, earning his license and working for Makey Ellis and Loganway Realtors in Fort Atkinson until his Retirement.

Roger will be dearly missed by his family. Daughters, Perrie Vander Mause (Mike), Cris Trieloff (Dale), Lori McClinchy (Jeff); sister, Roberta Sahr; sister-in-law, Deborah (Mike) Troedel and family; grandchildren Jeremiah Oakley (Amy), Shawn Vander Mause (Christina), Cody Wenzel (Raeanna), Nick Wenzel, Nathan Wenzel (Christine) and great-grandchildren, Ian, Mia, Eve, James, Abigail and Olive. And other step grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as family friend Heather Vander Mause.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dillin; sons, Gerald and Terry; his parents, Perry and Lucille (Lee) Dillin; brothers Rolland and Rodney and their wives, Patricia Karlin and Patricia Fietzek; sisters-in-Law, Shirley McCarthy and Susan Lawerence; brothers-in-law, Dave Sahr and Robert Lawerence and nephews, Mike Sahr, Keith Dillin, Bobby Geske and Peter Dickson.

Roger found joy in playing with his grandchildren, walking, reading, and he was an avid bowler. He helped run many bowling tournaments at Arcadia Lanes. He also enjoyed bartending for the ladies’ bowling leagues.

He worshiped at Faith Community Church in Fort Atkinson WI.

A service to honor and remember Roger will be held at Faith Community Church in Fort Atkinson, WI on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. at church until the time of service.
