Dwight Foster Public Library summer reading program to begin June 1

The Dwight Foster Public Library in Fort Atkinson is excited to announce the beginning of the 2021 Summer Reading Program on June 1.

This summer, the library will be using Beanstack for our summer reading challenges for kids, teens, and adults.  Beanstack allows participants to track their reading and complete activities to earn badges, prizes, and entries in raffle drawings.  Access Fort library’s Beanstack site at fortlibrary.beanstack.org or download the free Beanstack Tracker app. Paper reading logs will be available upon request. Pre-registration is open now for all of our summer reading challenges and logging begins on June 1.

In addition to the reading challenges on Beanstack, the Dwight Foster Public Library will offer free outdoor and virtual events for kids, teens, and adults. From a sing-along with Anna and Kristoff to a museum that travels around in a bus, we will have something for everyone.  See all of our upcoming programs and details about how to register at https://www.fortlibrary.org/srp-info/.

The Fort library will also offer Storytime in the Park on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. throughout June and July.  Beginning Wednesday, June 2 at 10 a.m., join us in the Jones Park shelter at S. 6th Street, Fort Atkinson, for stories and songs. Fort Healthy will join us at Storytime in the Park on June 9, 16, 23, and 30 to give away free bike helmets and activity kits. Check the library’s Facebook page or call the library at (920) 563-7790 for weather-related cancelations.  Registration is not required for Storytime in the Park.

For more information about any of our programs, call the library at (920) 563-7790 or visit our website at fortlibrary.org.  All programs are open to the public and free of charge.
