St. Nick visits St. Joseph

Fort Atkinson Knights of Columbus Council 3396 hosted a pancake breakfast Sunday, Dec. 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

The breakfast served as a fundraiser for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, which provides support for families in need during the Christmas season, according to event organizers.

St. Nicholas was on hand at the pancake breakfast after the 10 a.m. Mass to read a story about his life to children. While the story was read, a special treat was given to each participating child, an earlier release about the event noted.

The breakfast featured pancakes, Jones Dairy Farm breakfast sausage, an egg dish and applesauce for a free-will donation.

Event donors included Jones Dairy Farm and Kwik Trip.

Children’s shoes line the hallway. Shoes were placed in advance of story time in hopes that St. Nick would find them. When the children returned, they found the shoes filled with gifts.
