The Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce — with help from its 2021 Manufacturing Month sponsor Johnson Financial Group — has announced the launch of the 4th “Coolest Thing Made in Fort” competition.

In a recent press release, Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Carrie Chisholm noted that the entire month of October is dedicated to raising awareness of the jobs available at local manufacturers, and The Coolest Thing Made in Fort Atkinson is an award presented to both a large and small business to help raise awareness of the businesses in Fort and all they have to offer.
Finding and retaining talent is among the greatest challenges of the local business community, Chisholm said. The chamber partners with area educational institutions and local staffing agencies to showcase the opportunities for employment and advancement with annual career fairs, and guest speaking to the careers classes, she added.
