It’s Christmas Eve, and for his last holiday reading, RadioRon Stelse has selected a holiday classic: “Virginia’s letter to Santa Claus,”
Virginia’s Letter, written in 1897 to the editor of the New York Sun, was to the point. It read: “Dear Editor: I am 8 years old. Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus. Papa says, ‘If you see it in The Sun it’s so.’ Please tell me the truth; is there a Santa Claus?”
The letter is also know by the response Virginia received in the New York Sun, titled: “Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus.” Following is both the classic letter and its response as read by RadioRon.
