Letter to the editor:
This letter is to ask my neighbors in Jefferson County Board Supervisory District 29 to please vote for Mary Roberts for re-election this spring. District 29 mainly covers the south-central portion of the City of Fort Atkinson, and includes voting wards 5 and 6.
Mary is a kind, caring, and honest individual, who has been an advocate for sensible and forward thinking policies on the county board. Mary strongly believes in making sure that Jefferson County remains a great place to raise a family, just like she and her husband Bill have done. She wants to make sure the county continues focusing on providing great infrastructure, parks, and facilities. She has also advocated for fiscal responsibility, including a reduction in the overall tax levy and a mill rate decrease of 11 percent for 2024.
I also think it is very admirable that even though she was bravely fighting a personal battle with a serious illness over the past year, she was still making sure to attend board meetings remotely and stay informed on the issues, any way she could.
Mary has worked hard to earn our trust and our support. Please join me in voting for Mary Roberts in the April 2nd election.
