William A. Slavens

William A. Slavens, 79, of Jefferson, formerly of Fort Atkinson, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at his home.

Bill was born on March 2, 1944, son of 

Forrest and Gertrude (Walter) Slavens. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1962.

In 1966, Bill was drafted into the United States Army and served in Germany. He was a very kind and gentle man who would help anyone in need.

Bill was a lifelong car enthusiast and was a parts manager for many years at Miller Auto Parts and Bumper to Bumper.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Gertrude Slavens and his brother, Charles Slavens.

Please wear your car shirt and drive your corvette/classic car. After the service, lifelong friend, Bob Kuykendall, whom Bill traveled with nationwide buying classic cars and parts, will take Bill on his last cruise through Fort, the way we started as teenagers back in the 60’s.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. at the funeral home until the time of service. Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
